- Blake Lively made fun of husband Ryan Reynolds and some Christmas cookies he made.
- She posted a photo of the cookies on Instagram and Twitter.
- The couple has an adorable tradition of trolling each other on social media.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have made headlines all year for publicly poking fun at one another — and the Christmas season is no different.
On Saturday, Lively shared an photo on Instagram that shows a tabled littered with Christmas cookies. Some are cracked and overbaked, and others are topped with messy frosting. Each treat was baked and decorated by Reynolds himself.
"@vancityreynolds made some Christmas cookies...😳 ...He's verrry handsome though," Lively captioned the Instagram photo, which has already racked up more than 800,000 likes.
"Looks like a cookie crime scene," one Instagram commenter wrote.
"It's the thought that counts haha," another said.
She also shared the same photo on Twitter, where she jokingly referred to Reynolds as "the next Martha Stewart."
In Lively's defense: These cookies are a bit of a mess. And what's with that blob of red icing on the snowman cookie's face?!
The post is all in good fun, though — and it's just the latest in a series of lighthearted social media jabs between the husband and wife, who've been married since 2012.
On Lively's birthday in August, Reynolds posted a photo with his wife's face mostly cropped out. For Reynolds' birthday in October, Lively returned the gesture: She shared a photo of Reynolds and Ryan Gosling with most of Reynolds' face cropped out. And in November, Reynolds struck again, posting an unflattering photo of Lively working on the set of an upcoming movie.
Now — after Lively's post outed those lax baking skills — the ball is in Reynolds' court. Who knows? Maybe we'll see him retaliate and troll his wife one last time before 2017 ends.
