  • Donald Trump Jr. reportedly had an affair with the singer and "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant Aubrey O'Day while his wife was pregnant with their third child.
  • After the affair ended, O'Day released a song titled "DJT."
  • The lyrics are about a relationship that doesn't work out because one side isn't being honest with the other.

Donald Trump Jr. had an affair with singer Aubrey O'Day while his wife was pregnant with their third child, according to reports in The New York Post and Us Weekly. The affair reportedly took place in 2011, when O'Day was a contestant on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice."

The news, which arrives amid a divorce between Trump Jr. and his wife, Vanessa, brought people's attention to one of one of O'Day's songs, "DJT." It has suspiciously familiar initials. Trump Jr.'s middle name is "Jonathan."

The song is the opening track on her 2013 album "Between Two Evils," released about a year after the affair reportedly ended. It's mostly in spoken word, about a relationship that didn't work out because the man on the other end wasn't forthcoming about his life.

The broad message matches the details of the reporting, which is that Trump Jr. told O'Day that he was already in the process of leaving his wife when he began the affair.

Here are the opening lyrics of the song, for example, which are communicated in spoken word:

"You can say it was all a f---ing fairytale

Or you can say it was real

But I need to know and you know

Whatever the truth is defines the reality of you and I forever

And I need to be able to define that before I can walk away"

The song also features a man's voice (which definitely doesn't sound like Trump Jr.) evasively saying that he can't be with the singer. "I'll always want you and always wonder about it. But it doesn't matter because I have to stay here," he says.

He also talks about how he's "torn between two worlds both of which I wanted."

"DJT" isn't the only time O'Day dropped a hint about the reported affair. "My story I didn't tell is worth millions now 😉 … this doesn't hurt me, it hurts America,"she wrote in a now-deleted tweet, according to Us Weekly.

Representatives for O'Day and Trump Jr. didn't immediately respond to INSIDER's request for comment.
