We don't know a whole lot about Pete Davidson, the "Saturday Night Live" writer who reportedly got engaged to Ariana Grande after one month of dating.
But the one thing we do know? The 24-year-old writer and comedian seems to have a thing for cotton candy. Yes, Davidson has eaten cotton candy twice in two months. These are just facts.
In just over 30 days, Davidson has been seen eating the sugary snack food with not only Grande, but also Cazzie David, his former girlfriend of two years.
It might sound fake. After all, cotton candy is a very, uh, specific food for any person to eat two times in just as many months. But, as always, the proof is in the Instagram.
On May 3, David and Davidson enjoyed the sugary treat together. For those following along at home, this photo was seemingly taken just about two weeks before Davidson confirmed their breakup on May 16.
Then, just over a month later, Grande and Davidson shared cotton candy at the Kanye West/Kid Cudi listening party for "Kids Sees Ghosts" on June 8 — one day before their reported engagement.
Davidson appropriately captioned the photo, "feel the love," which is a lyric from the album.
After news of their June 9 engagement (which has yet to be entirely confirmed) broke on Monday, Grande and Davidson spent the evening at Disneyland. It is unclear if they had cotton candy there, but come on, cotton candy twice in one month? With two different women?
To be clear: There is nothing objectively wrong with liking cotton candy or eating it with your girlfriend/fiance of the moment. It's a fun, seasonal treat — especially with summer approaching. We just want to know: is this, like, a thing?
