Prince Harry and Meghan Markle engaged in some PDA on the second day of their ongoing royal tour.

On Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a community picnic at Victoria Park in Dubbo, Australia, where they were greeted by about 15,000 people, according to the Daily Mail. During their visit, the ever affectionate pair were photographed holding each other while sharing an umbrella in the rain.

"I know that life has not been easy," the duke said. "And despite welcome rain, it's going to take a lot more and a long time to recover."

Harry also spoke openly about mental health and his own experiences seeking professional help.

"People in many farming communities generally don't feed themselves before they need," he said. "They are often more isolated, [their] social networks are smaller, and there is still a stigma surrounding mental health."

He continued: "If I may speak personally, we are all in this together, because asking for help was one of the best decisions that I ever made. You will be continually amazed how life changes for the better."

In April, Harry told The Telegraph that he "shut down all his emotions" for almost two decades after the death of his mother, the late Princess Diana. But following two years of "total chaos" in his late twenties, he began to see a therapist to address his grief.

Since they married in May, Harry and Markle have made headlines time and time again for their touching displays of affection.

As royal etiquette expert Myka Meier previously told INSIDER, there's no official protocol that forbids royal couples from holding hands or showing affection in public. According to Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, it all comes down to each couple's "personal preference."

There is, however, "an unwritten precedent" that discourages royals from engaging in PDA that was set by Queen Elizabeth II herself, who is rarely affectionate with Prince Philip in public, body language expert Robin Kermode previously told the Daily Mail.

Harry and Markle will visit Melbourne, Sydney, and Fraser Island in Australia before heading to Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. The couple's royal tour will conclude on October 31 after an official visit to the city of Rotorua in New Zealand.
