Fans have been skeptical since the moment YouTuber couple Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul got together. But Paul has apparently attested to just how real their marriage is in an interview on Brenden Tieger's YouTube channel.

Tieger led the interview with seven questions from followers, ranging from Paul's work ethic and daily vlogging to his relationship with Mongeau.

"A lot of the shit I do is business-driven," Paul said. "I am a marketer at the end of the day, and I feel business is behind that marketing, and being an entrepreneur is something I'm passionate about."

Paul and Mongeau have had to defend their apparent romance many times, especially since their marriage isn't legally binding and they haven't spent much time together since the ceremony.

Mongeau's ex-girlfriend turned close friend Bella Thorne also made a snide comment towards Paul after he met with his ex Erika Costell behind his new wife's back.

"While her family is going thru some shit... not a good look jake,"she tweeted, referencing the fact Mongeau was staying in Vegas alone to deal with a "family emergency."

Paul responded "yeah," to which Tieger said, "better be."

"I don't have the ring, it's in my backpack," Paul said, adding that it was too tight. "But yeah, Jana is about as real as it gets."

Mongeau also spoke about "Jana" on the MTV VMAs red carpet (where she was channeling Britney Spears with a live cobra.)

HollywoodLife asked Mongeau what married life was like, to which she said: "I wish I had some juicy answer but it's kind of the same."

"You know? Now we just have a fancy title," she said. "Oh, titles, man, those things are crazy! Yeah, everything's good."

Speaking to Insider, Mongeau said Paul wasn't present but he would be watching the awards at home.

"He's been super sweet, I know he's my biggest fan," she said.
